Donate Your Gently Used Books

5494 Forsyth Rd, Macon GA 31210

Drop off donations when the Bookstore is open.

Why not clean out your bookshelves to make room for new books, or better yet, for the books you buy at the Bookstore and Book Sale?

If you are wondering what makes a book gently used, it is a book that is in good to like-new condition. Please do not drop off books that are water or insect damaged, moldy, yellowed, excessively underlined, or falling apart. Older books are welcome, too, based on acceptable condition for their age. We do not accept magazines, encyclopedias,  condensed books, VCR or cassette tapes.

Middle Georgia Regional Library branches in Macon-Bibb County also accept book donations for Friends of the Library. Please box or bag and label donations.

Memorial Book Program

The Friends of the Macon-Bibb County Libraries Memorial Book Program gives you the opportunity to remember and honor friends and family. Please send donations in honor of, or in memory of, your friends and loved ones. A bookplate with the name of the person being remembered will be placed inside a new book, along with the name of the donor. There is a $20.00 minimum for a memorial book.

To donate to the Friends through the Memorial Book Program, please download, print, and return our form. You may download it here.
